Saudi king donates BD100m for medical city in Bahrain

MANAMA — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia on Sunday donated 2 billion Saudi Riyal (BD100 million) for the construction of a medical city in Bahrain.

Earlier, the Saudi king arrived in Bahrain for his first two-day visit to the kingdom. The medical city will be affiliated with Arabian Gulf University (AGU), one of the best medical institutions in the region. The Saudi king said the medical city will be a gift from the people of Saudi Arabia to the people of Bahrain and the GCC.
