http://i.telegraph.co.uk/telegraph/multimedia/archive/01702/Fatima-Kama_1702446c.jpgA FUGITIVE facing extradition to Britain in connection with the murder of a woman 11 years ago slipped into Bahrain under a new name, it emerged yesterday. Lebanese Youssef Ahmed Wahid was arrested in Bahrain on Tuesday, after years on the run.

Wahid entered Bahrain last November on a genuine Lebanese passport, but which identified him as Ibrahim Fawzi Hadid.

The 41-year-old was working at a private company and living in A’ali, where he was arrested at 6.15pm on Tuesday. “His arrest came after co-operation between rightful authorities from Bahrain and outside,” said Brig Gen Al Hassan.

The body of 28-year-old Moroccan-born Canadian citizen Fatima Kama was found when a member of the public spotted a black suitcase abandoned on the third floor of car park at London’s Heathrow Airport, on July 17, 1999.

A security guard forced open the bag and found Ms Kama’s body inside, in the foetal position.

A post-mortem revealed she’d been stabbed more than 10 times.
